A milestone was made over the weekend. Tank stand moved to its final resting place in the living room!

Now on to stiffening the floor and fish room setup.

Son came home over the weekend so I was able to get the tanks on the stands!
So excited to have a tank on a stand I smile every time I walk past it :D

pulled in the stand for the Max170 as well. I know I have a separate thread for the MaxE 170 but the build has been all at the same time for the stand so including a pic here as well.

The only thing about this tank build that makes me sad is having to put up a wall to support the floor below the tank.
I had a water heater flood a while back and took the opportunity to move a wall out to create a Media room which I love.
Move forward to now and I need to stiffen up that sealing and will eat up some space in that room :(
I thought about beams and other options and just decided we need the storage space anyway so suck it up and get it done.

The media room with board to show where outside wall will be. (hopefully this weekend)
The other side of that wall is my shop/New Fish room. Getting ready to put together the Mixing station finally.

Contest requires an update today so although I have nothing to post really, I'll talk about the floor support.
The idea was to put 2 poles with a double 2x6 beam. Now I have to modify that because I ran into drain pipes I cant move.
Always something..

Hi, nice peninsula you got there! Very nice job on the stands too! Just wanted to mention there is a gray cap inside the outlet of that pan world pump that has to be removed before you use it. I thought mine was broken but it turns out that little cap doesn’t let water flow through it :)

Thx Trigger for the comments and thx for the heads up on the plug! I hope to get the beam under the tank up by the weekend and start getting the rest of the basement fish room moving after that. Maybe I'll finally get some water in a tank soon!

Awesome work with the cabinet. I built the stand for my last tank but my new one came with a nice one. I am also having an equipment cabinet built now for the controllers. I would have built it but my new wife like furniture to match, so... Anyway great job.

Decided to remove all the insulation in the fish room to remove/reduce dust in the room.
I can tell you this is not a fun job at all!

On a good note:
Picked up 2 of these for my mixing station.
Will have plenty of water for sure!
