I know a lot of these corals are just variations of the same species with different names slapped on them but considering the positive reputation of the companies responsible for these and my unfamiliarity with the corals, I figured I’d ask to see if someone with ACTUAL knowledge of these two high-end montis might be able to articulate the difference for me. Looks like just more of the orange center on the Crazy T but I’ve seen frags of the Minions with what looks like more orange.

I had gotten into collecting all of the rainbow cebuensis montipora, if there had to be any that are exactly alike, it would be them 2. I've been growing the rrusa crazy t for 2 1/2 years now. You can achieve more orange with lower lighting, and more green/yellow with higher lighting. This colony is in upward 300 par, usually some frags go with the lps in about 100 par, and they turn completely fire orange with red. I dont have any photos of lower lit frags at the moment, but if I get back to this thread in a month or two, I'll post them.

Wow 4 years later. I grown out the larger frag. Also have 4 other colonys the same size. But it definitely stayed in the same spot since then.

Hope no one minds if I revive this one. I got a frag of this at Reefapalooza. Wanted to see if you guys had any updated pictures? Still trying to figure out it’s growth pattern
Thanks a TON, actually, for reviving this. I had completely forgotten about this thread and it’s incredible to see what @Sabellafella has done! One of my absolute favorite corals ever. I need to get my hands on one of these as soon as this new build is up and running.
