That's a chance we take on anything really. Companies do go out of business. They have been struggling I. Last few years with lot better products hitting the market while DA never have a good software nor capabilities like apex or ghl does.

Has anybody tried taking a probe from another company and splicing the wires to a DA plug to see if it works?

I need to figure out the iTemp probe situation myself. Does anyone have an iTemp probe they can post a picture of the RJ connector? If I could see which wires were landed on which pins I’d give it a shot. I have an old reefkeeper 2 and a RKE that are both missing the iTemp probes...

RKE does not use a iTemp probe. The RKL does. Both probes are the same. The difference is the connector. One uses a Micro-fit 3.0 connector and the other uses an RJ12 connector. I have a coupe of sensors I was planing on trying, but have not got around to it yet. The salinity probe can be second sourced. Apera Instruments makes one that will work.

For anyone that wants to try and substitue the temp probe. I think a "10K thermistor 3950 NTC" is the one DA is using. I have not got one to try it yet. I am trying to find a epoxy coated one with at least a 1 meter cable. Adafruit has one, but the cable is only 18" long. If you are splicing that might work ok for you.

My iTemp probe is fluctuating between different temps and iTemp error. Cleaned it and still same. I use my RKL to control my heaters so need it working. Now with DA closed it's hard to find a new one

Check out this thread https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/alternatives-to-digital-aquatics-probes-and-parts.439573/. There is something avout the temp probe. I got two and I had one start messing up on me after a few week so I discontinued using the, for now. I think that there may be an issue submerging them as is. I plan on trying again and coating the end with something to keep water from getting in. Hope this helps. There are other types out there that I have not tried yet that have tye same thermistor.
