So I’ve had this for over a year and started out as a small 1.5” frag and has grown into a nice cluster. Over time, my clumsiness has knocked parts off, so I’ve simply re glued them onto the rock next to the cluster. My concern though is the “white” base. Is this normal? In my mind I feel like it should be growing or “encrusting” onto the rock where I glued it. Should I cut the white are close to the polyps and reattach?
Thanks in advance

I'm no expert but STN typically starts at the base and works its way up. A variety of issues can cause the STN. You way want to consider fragging off the healthy upper branches and gluing those to the rock to start over.

Really like the flowing GSP wall in back.

Is this new white base or has been there the whole time.
If it's NOT new, then it's shading itself.

I feel like it’s been somewhat like that when I re glued it to the rock. I only say somewhat because I feel like it’s getting more and more. Shading could make sense being that it’s still growing nice. I just would of liked to see it encrust the rock to give more stability

Its possible but I looked at both of my digi corals like his and neither have any shading areas like that. Some other corals do though like my stylos but only on one side away from the light and covered by branches.
