Can I get some help identifying this? Photos below. It doesn't look like any of the microscope photos in the guide. They are very narrow spindly things that move around in the brown clumps. Photos of what it looks like without the microscope also.

I think I have ostreopsis based on the attached slides and behavior of the slime (coats my macroalgae and gorgonian primarily, decreases overnight). Wouldn't be surprised if I had a mixed population as a few weeks ago it was mainly in the sand. So far all my inverts seem to be okay but I have lost 2 euphyllia to this blight and am losing my gorgonian and one remaining hammer. I wanted to get confirmation from @taricha and the community though before I install any UV. The other day I dumped some phytoplankton in there and have been adding Dr. Tims waste away daily and am not sure I have seen any progress. I have an Innovative Marine AIO nano 9w UV sterilizer on the way and am hoping it will be the deathblow I require. Any input on this device's effectiveness would be appreciated as well.

I've had this laying around for a while. Had some recent interest, so I tweaked it a bit and am posting it.
Not really about cures just ID pictures, videos, and a few short facts.

Hope it can be helpful.

I wouldn't want to put you out of a "job" or anything, but this should be a sticky. And linked on Page 1 of @mcarroll "are you tired" thread.

Marvelous work here taricha. Your descriptions really bring clarity to image cues and movement behavior.

If this becomes a sticky, what are you going to do with all your spare time? (Please go back to work on cyano hint hint.)

Thank you for your service to the community!

Sincerely,
Cyano

Finally bumped into this – another great piece of work!

Seems like editing policies have changed while I was away cuz I can't update the big Dino thead's first post anymore. If I could, this would be linked!!!

Hi, could anyone identify the dinos I have please?

Sorry, spell check got me. It was supposed to say unarmored dinos. I just looked at the attachment and that’s what I’m seeing. Round things like that swimming around. Thank you!
