Welcome to R2R!

I see some algae, but tough to ID any dinos from the pic. You can try this test:

1) get a good sample of the slimy snotty gunk into a glass jar with tank water.
2) Put the lid on and shake it like crazy so that the gunk is largely dissolved in the water.
3) Pour this through a coffee filter or similar into another clear glass or jar. It should look maybe like slightly cloudy water
4) Leave the jar under a light source for an hour. Then take a look. If the gunk has clumped back together, it is very likely dinos.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
