Dinos and Nutrient dosing

I would like to take this approach since reducing nutrients seems to be the only way I am winning the first part.

How often would you recommend feeding if my corals are only able to rely on direct servings? 2 to 3 times a week plenty? Or less at once a week?

I’ve thrown out my reef roids. Because any residual just fuels the cyano. I’m having way better luck feeding mysis. It allows me to carefully target the coral and not the tank.

I feed every other day, pumps off for about 30 min. I had Cyano around November and limited Red Sea ab+, and reef Roids too. However, the reduction had no effect on cyano and didn’t want to reduce feeding to much. Cyano, with targeted removal over a few weeks disappeared completely. Not sure why? I’m feeding more now then ever and no problem algae. Today po4 was .06 ppm which is the highest reading ever. Tank is 1 year old and has been consistently good with the typical ups and downs expected. Here is the stuff I feed corals, fish daily mysin, brine and pellets. Also a picture of aquarium now…

I think I’ve had enough at this point. Gonna tear down the tank and return the fish to my local fish store or give them to whoever will take them.

I’ve tried so hard over the last 7 months and seem to be getting no where. If I ever decide to start another tank, I’ll never do it again without proper live rock.

Even though my old tank did much better, but still no where where I wanted it to be. I believe some people aren’t just cut out for this hobby. And I would be included in them.

Sorry…could also remove corals and keep fish with fish only dim lighting. Much easier to control algae and not worry about chemistry nearly as much.
