It’s on the sand and rocks. Been struggling to get rid of it.

Looks like Dino’s mixed in with hair algae. Scrub the growth off the rocks and siphons out the gunk from the sand. Go into the typical Dino’s protocol. Once the Dino’s are under control you can deal with the algae. The UV sand sweeper wand form 3D Reefing works great for uglies on the sand including Dino’s.

I will assume that phosphates & nitrates are not bottomed out. Consider dosing silicates to grow diatoms to outcompete the uglies. Get more snails and a cucumber in your clean up crew.

Post your parameters.

What are your parameters? How old is the tank?

Do you have a microscope?

My nitrates bottomed out originally which I believe was the issue. I raised it back to 8 and phos was raised to .16. I have no microscope. Been battling a few weeks now but they won’t seem to go away and are irritating my anemone.

Started dosing silicates this week, haven’t seen effects yet. 4 days in
