This tank was set up with 3 small jellyfish 2 weeks ago. The tank was cycled properly. The salt was added to the water for a water change and was kept overnight before testing. The chemical parameters of the new water were identical to the tank water. A successful water change was made a week ago. The tank was doing great. I checked the chemical parameters of the tank every day especially for ammonia to make sure I was not over feeding them. Yesterday, when I turned on the lights, the jellyfish had disintegrated.
The chemical parameters were: Ammonia 0, Nitrate 5. Nitrite 0. PH 6.5 (was 8.0 before). Salt 32, Temp. 69 F.
I searched the internet and found out that none of my parameters would have caused the disintegration.
I would greatly appreciate your comments on this matter.
