I know many display refugium are above the main display and just gravity feed down into the main.

I don't have that option and would like a macro algae tank next to my main. Will the pods and other beneficial organisms be hurt if pumped through a pump?

I want to have a mandarin in my main display and want adequate pods for that.

Secondary question: What fish/inverts do you guys keep in your display fuges?

I kept my fuge in my sump in the basement for many years. Pods were pumped back to the tank upstairs. Pods through a pump is no issue IME.
