I put some cheato and caulerpa in my sump a couple months ago. The cheato dissolved, but the caulerpa grew.

This week it got little orange buds on the main piece and it got soft and started falling apart. So I threw that piece out. The pic is of what is left.

Running 24 hr tunze refugium light
Moonshiners sps tank, parameters are good.

Could be anything, but from my experience I’ve never got that mix to last. Even if it goes a while seems one or the other dominates. Just one sample

The cheato wasted away immediately, a couple months ago. It's the caulerpa that wasted away this week. The pic is what is left of the caulerpa.

Get rid of that Caulerpa I had some sneak up to the DT and get into the rock work. After fighting and trying manual removal I gave into the reeflux. I just use chaeto now. Been growing great under a cheap aquatop light in the sump.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
