My BC Shades of Fall. I hacked it back to a mini colony but the new growth is stunning.

Awesome tank. I’m down the road in Modesto, so I might need some frags of that !
Sure, let me know. I always have frags of most of my acros. I need to take some updated pics but I've been super busy at work. Hopefully I'll have some time in the next couple weeks.

Yes, I know I still need to take updated pics. I've been busy at work, going on spring break with the fam and not not spending as much time as I'd like with the tank. Things continue to go swimmingly and corals continue to grow. For now I'll leave you with this video of our snorkeling on the Big Island, Hawaii a couple weeks back. If you haven't been, I strongly encourage it. I've snorkeled around the world and the Big Island is the best.

P.S. Go to youtube to watch it so you can change the setting to high def. It's significantly better in high def.

Tank Update: It's on auto pilot right now. One new development is that I no longer skim. For some reason my skimmer started overflowing and I can't figure out why. :p So I'm just routing the skimmate back into the sump. I have my skimmer tied into my CO2 reactor so I don't want to shut it down. It just recirculates oxygen. The interesting thing is that without skimming, my Nitrate & Phosphate have dropped a little... I guess my tank just consumes well.

My wife and I turn 50 this year, and she thought it would be a good idea to hike to the top of the world. Over 84.7 miles and a total elevation gain of 29,593’, we hiked from Lukla, Nepal to Mt. Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5364m (17,598’).

Oh, and of course @revhtree Reef2Reef was there. ;)

Jst a simple question..
How do you keep your nutrients in check? I see you are going the absolute KISS route. Thats fantastic!

Uve never touched any aminos or coral food stuff so far?

What fish food are you feeding?

The first year I had my tank I experimented with several things but my corals didn’t appreciate it. Once my tank was seasoned I stopped adding. I maintain my nutrients by balancing the right amount of fish. Some people say “feed more”, but I just have enough fish and feed those fish. Slowly add them over time and you’ll see when things balance out and you have enough. The bigger the acros get, they also consume a lot of nutrients, so more fish.

My current 80g fish stock is:

Blue Tang
Powder Blue Tang
One Spot Foxface
2x Picasso Clownfish
3x Lyretail Anthias
3x Green Chromis
Black Cap Gramma
Banghai Cardinal
Spotted Mandarin

Most would say I’m overstocked. But for an Acro tank with colonies, it’s not.
