What a fun 3 gallon tank. I will have to take this good hints on the 'screening' to use next time I attempt a goby.

Yes and not just for Gobies. There are many jumpers so either let me know what fish you are planning to get or do some research on the Net on whether or not they are.

My new book ( see sig ) has a large number of suggestions for fish for the Nano Reef and yours is nearly a Pico reef so the selection of the right fish is IMO really important. Small and compatible with whatever other fish you decide on.

Do you have an idea of what you would like to add ?

Thanks! I'm really obsessed with him!

Tbh I have no idea what the dimensions are lol. It's probably more like a 2.5gal. let me get a ruler and figure it out.

I did the calculations and as it turns out it's 3.1 gallons. The name escapes me but next time I go to the lfs I will find out for you!

Yet another suicidal fish. Anyone have any idea of a fish that is less prone to jumping and could go in this tank?

Why not put a cover on the tank or plug any holes there are if there is a top already with screening material .... Some fish will jump for no reason, others because they are being chased, and others because they are jumpers by nature. Not sure what kind you are looking for but a Banggai cardinal would be less likely to jump than Gobies or some of the Blennies or Wrasses.

What do you call the single polyp zoa with orange tips, purple body and white center? I have these in my tank but no one has identified yet to tell me what they are called.
