So I decided to add 2 hydras over my tank and went with the TV Mount idea that I improvised to add 2 Hydra 26 lights. Overall I’m happy with the outcome. What do you think l. Just need to clean up the wiring. The are currently 11” above the waterline.

No longer have this setup only because I bought the Aquatic Life hybrid setup. No issues with setup at all. I still have put aside but no longer need. The tv mounts had no issues holding these up they hold TVs. The lights are much lighter.

GREAT IDEA, which tv mount did you use, and what did you use to mount the lights to? TIA

Thanks. Used this mount from Amazon
Took some aluminum tubing and stainless bolts and spacers to attach. Painted tubing black.

This piece? I used 2 small “L” brackets that screwed into the mount and I bolted onto the aluminum bracket.
As far as mount to the Hydra I just bought longer screws to screw through the bracket and into the light. I believe I still have setup in my closet.

The reason I asked about the weight is because I am trying to come up with wall mounting options for a 60", 8 bulb ATI fixture which is much heavier than LEDs and would stress the mounts differently than a TV would.

Honestly as long as you drill the mount into a stud you should be fine. Your light probably weighs less than a tv does.Only thing I would say is the mount may not come out far enough for your lighting unless you fabricate something.

Yeah, I'm trying to work that part out as well.
Thanks :)
