I ran into a member that made me a custom battery back up for my ecotech mp40s. I did not want to spend 200$ on the ecotech one so I found @TheHarold and helped me from start to finish. He went above and beyond even suggesting a battery, modifying cables, and order me a trickle charger. Going this route is superior because it’s stronger than ecotechs battery ( I tested two mp40s at default back up power lasted 29 hours (30Ah) but capable of supporting a much larger battery. The custom voltage box gives me a way to know if I need a new battery. Also get the option to use a lithium battery which I hope allows me more time until replacement. I suggest checking him out if you want a plug and play battery back up that can save your tank from a power outage. Thanks man it was a pleasure doing business and product works great :) can’t wait to get it mounted!

That’s awesome I was just cursing my eco tech back up for not kicking on the one time I needed it last month and was looking for better options. Thanks for posting I’ll definitely check him out!

These DIY ones are great because you can use a Lithium Phosphate battery that keeps it capacity for 10+ years, instead of Ecotech’s Lead Acid battery that lasts 2-3 years.

Yeah it sounds like a really good upgrade from the ecotech can I DM to inquire about this set up after work today?

Sure! The box itself is pretty simple, just a glorified junction box that connects the battery, trickle charger, and two Ecotech-jack connections so you can use OEM ecotech cable.
