Back Up battery for power outage

Hey guys can you share what you use for UPS back ups for your reef tanks? I use about 3kwh per day roughly. I want to be able to run my tank for 24 hours in a power outage. Not really sure how to calculate what I would need. Would it even be practical to get a UPS back up?

I currently have a mp10 back up battery. But it wont run heater in winter or pump. So if anyone knows nano tank pumps that can run off back up id love to know. 20 gal tank.

I use a lithium backup generator with power passthough.
This means it can charge and discharge at the same time.

I used to use UPS's but almost none will handle the output of a heater alone, unless you get really expensive, and then your in the lithium generator price range.

Also I got tired of Sealed Lead Batteries, and having the replace them all the time over a LiFePO4.

But i use a EcoFlow Delta Pro.
I am sure there are other units with power passthough, but make sure it supports pass-though charging.
And make sure you get one with sufficient capacity for load. IE... your heater.... or put the heater on a different circuit.

I would check out Amazon right now. Lots of good batteries on sale for BF. Jackery seems to be a popular one and they have some good discounts. I will say I haven't really investigated them so I have no clue how good the discounts really are vs what they say but they have been getting a lot of buzz on the deal sites.

You would need one of the larger battery backups, like an Anker Solix F3800.

For a nano tank, a heater on backup might be an Ok idea, but for a larger tank, a heater would be a battery killer since they draw so much power.

I use a deep cycle battery (Renology 100 AH AGM sealed lead acid battery) as a backup to my Tunze powerheads. No inverter needed for those powerheads.

Room temperature may drop if you lose HVAC during an extended outage. That means your tank will use more power than typical and you may even need to add heaters.

The Mega line is slightly more pricy but is expandable with additional batteries
