Thanks for the really cool information.

Yeah I definitely recommend learning the language before hand. The food really is better in the smaller towns, where the reputation of the vendor is on the line. You want to shop at the places that are frequented by the locals.

By the way, just got back from Tijuana after doing some dental work for my gf (which is far cheaper than in the US). Got some amazing honey, and pollen. Such great prices for that kind of stuff. 20 dollars for a pretty large bottle and the pollen, which I hear has a lot of health benefits. Same stuff in the US would be double the price I swear. I'm going to try to get royal jelly (incredibly good for you) next time too. This is the food that the queen eats while it's growing. Turns out she lives 5 or 6 years. It's pretty amazing what those bees do. Bee-keeping is another cousing of reef-keeping I say ;)

Sounds amazing. Maybe one day I'll make it there! Is it possible to get by knowing Spanish as opposed to Mexican? I know they're very similar languages.
Bee keeping would be a lot of fun if I could handle little things buzzing around me constantly haha. I would constantly be remembering that futurama episode when they get stung by the space bees and have psychedelic dreams whilst in a coma. Sounds weird when I say that out loud haha.

Greenhouse growth pics! It's been lousy weather lately. Too much rain, not enough sunshine, so everything is a bit droopy at the moment and not quite a green as normal, but here goes!

Bolivian bumpy seedlings. It was a bit late in the season to start these guys, but I couldn't resist! I'll be happy even if I just get a handful of fruit off them :) ;
