Yes. Quite a few people have, myself included. I followed some nice write ups on Nano reef forum myself. I used this system which was a good learning process and gave me a solid light. https://www.ledgroupbuy.com/makersled/
I'm still using mine as a fuge light, and it's been running for maybe 4 years so far with no problems.
