I'm thinking about building my own leds next year, I have a 50 gallon breeder. I'm looking for suggestions, I want to be able to dim them if I need to!

2 piece of channel aluminum
36led's from rapid
1 piece of plexiglass
2 old computer fans
1 piece of gutter screen
i used ideal quick connects from hd found in telephone section
22g and 18g wire
2 trailer wiring harness for quick disconnects

took over 2 days to make
but i learned more and more each time. so much fun and i spend a total of 150 after selling my t5s. (wasted 44$) on cheap leds from ebay
i could have shaved off more cash... like i didnt need the 7ft cables for drivers and a few other things. but i would have to say not bad for $150

nice build! Come over to the MTRC side and post this up! We have a few looking to build DIY LEDs, including myself.
