Thanks so much. My mind is blown. I give up. Too complicated for me. Randy said he’d try to make some DIY recipes, but I’m very skeptical of its reproducibility.
I tried making standards, but the batch required different masses each trial. Stirring time, water purity, solid consistency, and air exposure make a huge difference in the standard outcomes.
The best way IMO is to calibrate your probe with trustworthy kits, then make your own batch by adding specific chemicals until you achieve the goal pH, then store it in airtight containers. You’d use your calibrated probe as a guide instead of a textbook recipe. That’s Randy’s initial recommendation which you can find here:
