Any one make their RODI unit? Can buy all the parts for less than 150 to make a dual membrane setup?
 
You can build your own but I have not found it cheaper than buying a complete set up. My home unit is basically a diy unit after all of the upgrades I have done to it. I would recommend you at least start with a stock unit as a base and then add the upgrades you like.

If the cost is a barrier, I recommended checking the forum sale area or FB marketplace for used RODI. I see used RODI units posted often in my local FB marketplace.
