Aquatic Life RODI SUCKS!!!!!!

I am running the Aquatic Life 100GPD RODI unit with the booster buddy for I would say over 5 years. I always get 2-3 month out of the DI

But recently Not even a month! it’s already 3TDS!!! It used to be able to last at least 2-3 month til 3TDS. Membrane was flushed per instruction (currently 7tds), less than a year old and carbon and sediment filters were replaced not long ago.

Weekly: usually make 40-50g RODI.

If you’re using this, can you share your experience or I got a defected filter.

Maybe defective filter batch.

How often do you test your water source? Is it municipal or do you own a well?

What’s your incoming tds at?

Mines at 30-34 and these filters have been going for months now. Gallons not sure but many for sure. Need to go look at my gallon meter.

Not sure how much effect TDS on water leaving the membrane has on di resin but I never see more than 3 TDS coming out of the membrane. I don't use the same system so my usage is meaningless to the discussion. I do use one of their booster pumps on a standard system with 10" canisters.

Have to say that’s the possibly. I’m on the second change with my 100 in a year. And I really do push water! As I how much I filter. Running two QT’s and four DT systems. 300,150,70,45g. The wallet hates me! Haha

I have the booster pump, it’s been sitting new in a box for a while. Still in the box hahaha!

I’m opening up a QT shop, and in the works of getting bigger tanks and moving the operation at the shop. So have bigger filters I will be running. It’s why I haven’t even pushed to install my booster.

Yes sir! Too many locals have no access to QT’ed fish, and I’m a sucker for saving fish! Haha. Have done it quite a few times. As in I see nice fish and only purchase them because they are declining.

My current two batches I have two Sumatra Yellow Belly Regal. Got them both to eat pellets within two days. Both are wild caught. One is about 3” the other about 5”.

Also one of the LFS’s near me as I stated many times on here, imports some of the best fish I see in the region. But they are wrecked with diseases. Sadly I have had to steer many away from getting fish there if they don’t plan on doing QT. In my mind, I was like if I only had a way to help these people more by providing a service haha. Now it’s in the works.

Based on Ai, 7TDS after membrane is still good. It’s within rejection rate of 95-98% so apparently DI is not doing its thing. I just opened another new filter, it’s at 5!
