Hello All!
I come to you for some advice and general rule of thumbs to be totally prepared for when the dreadful disaster strikes in water chemistry.
I’m planning on building a mixing station to house salt water and rodi water for routine/emergency water changes and auto top off.
I have a design in mind to start constructing but my hang up is how big do I want my RO and saltwater container to be.
My future display tank volume will be between 195-215 gallons
Sump volume will be between 40-60 gallons.
Total volume 235-275.
I am working with somewhat limited space.
The diameter of the containers is the hang up not height. I’m trying to keep it 20” and below in diameter while at the same time maximizing the water volume of the containers.
Some containers fit the size requirements but not sure on if it fits the “rule of thumb of how much water to have on hand in case emergencies”
I’d like to get 100g per container for storing and mixing however, the container that fit my space constraints is a 55g(without a doubt) or a 75-85g(hard maybe)
The smallest 100g+ container I can find are 23” and that could work BUT it’ll be tight which I’m not really a fan of.
I appreciate everyone’s tips, tricks, advice and suggestions on this matter!
