I got a co2 scrubber. I can't keep the moisture out of the line from ty he skimmer cup to the scrubber. I got a container that is in between the 2 to collect moisture. But it doesn't seem to help. I have to go and take the lines off every morning and run a little water and clean the line. Would I need a small peice of sponge in the opening of the line in the cup of the skimmer?

That should work. Is it drawing liquid up into the tube and blocking the air intake? Had you thought about tuning your skimmer so liquid doesn’t get into the tubing? I have a DIY set up the same way but the skimmate doesn’t reach the airline.

I ended up tearing a sponge peice off and seeing what happens. I also lowered my surface agitation. I think the room full of co2.

If your ph runs low and alk is within normal limits, you’re probably right. That’s why I added my scrubber. The tube from the skimmer to the scrubber on mine sits at the very top of the lid, as high as I can get it. That helps it stay clean. Good luck!
