Its looking good, Liking the electronics board, is that free standing?......... I used Varathane urethane or something on my hardwood floors clear Diamond-Kote ,

In that picture it is just sitting there. Haven’t decided how to attach it yet. I used varathane stain. I’ll have to look for the other stuff.

Progress! The frame is now where it belongs. (Pardon the mess that is my office) You can really see the difference between the polyurethane on the top and the polycryllic on the rest. Glad I caught that!

Came out dead straight level. Woo hoo!

I also dry fit the top shelf and I like the look a lot.

Gotta get the back wall on, finish the electronics board and mount that and I’ll be ready to get the tank back on. Getting close!

Making progress. I got the electronics section boxed in kit now. I need to decide if the hole for wires goes on the top or bottom. I’m thinking top.

I finished the front door construction and realized I made the tolerances too tight. It needed an 1/8” of space. I don’t have a table saw so I rigged this up with my AccuCut. Worked great!

I’m very happy with how it has come out so far. I have discovered I can no longer reach into the tank without a stool. I thought I did the arm pit measurement but appparently not :)

Work on the electronics cabinet has begun!

The power center for the Reef Angel is mounted on the right side, hence the wires coming out. :)

The tank is back up and running as of last week :)

Next up is to work the doors. I’m thinking about latches and the only non magnetic ones I could find are these:

Why not neo magnets epoxy glued into Forstner bit drilled holes. That's what I've been doing recently with cabinets that I've been building. Pick them up cheap on ebay....coming out of China. I match them up, making sure polarity is right. Once you sand and paint the epoxy, you don't even know they are there. French cleat on the bottom, magnets on the top.

I won’t have anything to grab onto, there aren’t handles. I’m trying to find something that extends out when pressed. It’s a good idea though.

That’s awesome! My doors go all the way up, so no room to lift it. Otherwise I’d totally do that.

Everything came out nice and super clean..BTW Rockler has some nice stuff so it wont be junk ....Now I do like the magnet Idea, very clever.
