I got kinda some Dino’s pretty good and my last uv light is underpowered for my tank. I was looking for a good replacement but they’re honestly just too expensive for me right now with my wedding coming up. So I decided to just make my own with regular pvc and a a cheap uv light for ponds.

It’s not the cleanest look by any means but I think it will get the job done. For the little notch I cut out on the lid I’ll just slap some epoxy putty in there and call it a day.

The total came out to $192.76
I would have gotten the aqua uv 40 watt which is currently $635.13 on BRS.
Total savings is $442.37 I call that a win 😎

Sorry I tried to use the app and it was pretty janky I’m not sure if y’all can see the photos. It’s also a 32 watt my bad 😂

Watch it closely. PVC is not UV resistant and will get brittle and crack from UV exposure
Yeah I was looking it up a few weeks ago and couldn’t find any solid information about it other than schedule 80 has thicker walls. I’m also not gonna run this full time. But if I really need to it won’t cost me anything more than a couple hours of making another housing for it.
