I was just curious about something that I am observing in my tank.
I added a RBTA to my 165 gallon tank 6 months ago. I have 3 Ocellaris Clown that have grown up together for the last 6 years (I know only 2 work long term, but nobody has told them that yet, and I'm trying not to let them know). Obviously, I was hopping they would host the nem immediately, which did not happen.
They are slowly venturing into the nem finally, and I see them snuggling in frequently (although I can't get a picture, because every time I get close, they rush up thinking I am feeding).
Finally, to my question. As the lights start dimming in the evening, the RTBA shrinks down and hides in its cave until the lights go on, and the clowns head to their "corner" by the overflow to sleep. In the wild, do the nems close up tight? And if so, what do the clowns hosting them do for protection at night?
