I found my hermit digging into the bumblebee snail shells. I have not seen them move in a couple days. Do hermits eat bumblebee snails?

Hermits will eat whatever they feel like eating. There is always a chance they eat snails although I must say the scarlet reef hermits have always been model citizens in my tanks.

Crabs are opportunistic and will eat anything.

He’s been great at cleaning but the minute I added these into the tank a couple days ago, he has not left them alone. Now they aren’t moving. I hope it’s because they are waiting for Mr. Hermy to leave them alone. Ugh, I’ll have to keep watching!

I’ve witness my blue leg hermits try to take other blue leg hermit shells. If they will do that to each other, there is no reason to think they won’t do it to snails :(

Most likely, house hunting. Hermits spend almost all of their time either eating or looking for new accommodations, whether currently occupied or not...
