I don’t think you have to worry about aggression between the 2 as they have grown together. You could potentially get a new spawn - lazys coral has their blue zing birds nest - mix of bird of paradise and green birds nest.

You have documented this so well. The fact that they are getting along means to me that they are one and the same. Environment has been the only variable.

Please tell me you can see the fusion line where it goes from the green skinned j.f to the brown skinned b.n

It is definitely fusing together in several spots and looks like the skin color is staying seperate

Not messing. I was looking at the growth pattern and never noticed the skin. Forest through the trees.
