I love this J.f enchanted forest birdsnest, I love the green trunk it makes regular birds nest look brown . Some don't think there is a difference in his corals, I've read a few blaming it on camera tricks and im sure there's some but I have a few signature corals and there is a noticeable difference, I do think they look better..tjmo

Anyway both nest are about the same age in my tank but the regular green has been placed on the rock day 1 and the j.f.e.f.b.n has been on the rack most of the time. (Approx 9/21)

Can you tell wich one is J.F enchanted forest birds nest left or right or is it just the same coral with a fancy name? Lol

Well, the regular is glued to the rock and the growth pattern looks somewhat different than the JFEFBN, but that could be a result of the latter being on the rack instead of glued down in one spot? Color under blue light is similar (the same?) in both. It might be helpful to compare more close up pictures of and arm from each colony with the polyps retracted so one could better examing the whorling or straight patterns of coralite growth.

I think I can see the difference in skin color on the close up shots. But I don't think that's anything JF did- it's not like he got genes from another coral or a green apple and mixed them up in lab to produce that color.

A little grown out now, the enchanted forest is keeping its green skin and the green birds nest has a brown behind its polyps. Im glad the color has not changed in my system.

I don't care which is which. I like the growth pattern and color of the one on the right better.

I wouldn't kick either one out of my tank.
Thanks! I like the left(j.f) but agree the growth of the right is the best,, Its out on a ledge so it got to lay flat, the one on the left is strait up, I wish I put both on thier sides

These birds nest are growing great, the j.f has been cut a few times for frags and I've noticed the green skin fades away until it gets established again then the green skin slowly comes back. Its always more Teal than the green b.n which has been fragged a few times also they both heal and grow quick.

Overall these are great corals and I definitely recommend them

So here's the question, can these grow together with out fighting, I keep breaking branches to keep them separate, I dont want any fighting but maybe they will get along.

Anyone with any thoughts?

Man that's a good looking birdsnest! Both look great, but the JF piece really stands out in the up close shots and daylight shot from the poster above.

I may have to add one to my tank someday. Very nice.
