Have a Powder Blue. Did have a UV but got rid of it while noticing no difference. IMO, they kill as much good stuff as bad stuff.

It's plumbed and in line, but rarely on. I used it this past week for 4 days on some dinos. I've now removed it and rinsed it back off in freshwater and vinegar. So yes & no... Hope this helps.

Cause they are prone to ich a lot. The reason I'm considering mainly casue I also was hoping to keep a powder blue.
