I started dosing KZ iodine and potassium supplement for half capacity of aquarium daily... Because I hardly change water. And corals lose their color if I don't.

May I ask , which corals like iodine supplement in aquariums ?

I personally think very few of the creatures we keep benefit from supplemental iodine. Certain specialized gorgonia have a demonstrated use for iodine as do some black corals, but not most things you'd have in a tank.

I dosed it for many years, then stopped and saw no difference.

I discuss it here:

Dosing iodine without testing is not advised.
Test is not available in my country. Because companies can not sell iodine tests so they are not available for purchase.

Personally I have been dosing kz potassium + iodine supplement for a week. My corals have been happier than they were before. Their body has been bigger than it was before.

I don't know if what you observe will last or is actually from the product, but that product contains a variety of different ingredients in addition to iodine which might contribute to what you are observing:

"Inorganic and organic iodide, bromine, potassium and fluorine"

Is it harmful ?

Is it harmful ?

Not likely, but it isn't clear what organics they may be using. The other things are not harmful at appropriate levels. :)
