back in 2007 when I set up my first reef tank this local coral farm was selling blue ringed octopus. It was very inexpensive but had to have proof of having the antidote in case bitten. Just curious if anyone has ever owned one.

My understanding is there is no antivenom for their bite (They use tetrodotoxin).

I’ve never kept one, or seen one in person. I’ll be interested to see if anyone here has.

...If the local coral farm was selling Blue Ringed Octopodes, then wouldn't they need to have the antivenin* on hand? Also, echoing the above statement that it seems that there's not really a cure, just palliative care until the body metabolizes it enough to recover.

You could maybe check out TONMO, which has more specialized cephalopod information!
