Does glue stop encrusting?

If I glue a SPS frag onto a rock, will the frag eventually grow down and encrust onto the rock? Does glue block growth?

No, it will encrust over it.

Here’s one of mine. I can’t tell that it’s grown up yet but it has completely covered the glue and then some.
