Was curious if this is a known chalice so I could see if it could change colors or see a better colony pic somewhere else. Any input is appreciated.

no way of telling, still way to small and still not colored up...it helps to list who and where you got it.

i got it at a lfs. It's definitely a watermelon type chalice because of the green rim and multi-colored eyes. I guess I'll just have to wait for it to grow out.

yea, keep updating with some new pics as it grows out, if anything just cause it looks really pretty. Someone may have an identical piece though and be able to get you the name of it though, but any idea if the place you got it from gets wild pieces or grows out captive pieces?

DrainBamage, I'll keep you updated with pics. maybe we can do a trade later on. I got this at Tong's in fountain valley, So. Cal in their 30 dollar frag tank. I mention that since you live sorta close by. I know they get lots of wild pieces in but they also have a huge grow out tank in the back room. An old reefer head told me they were one of the first lfs to have the suncet monti and the rainbow stylophora

wow thats a nice piece to find at tongs. once in a while they let the good stuff out into the frag tanks but it usually gets swooped up pretty quick. then its another month of bleh until they put more goodies out. good snag though for sure!
