Hello everyone,

I never noticed this hole before on my micromussa lordhowensis. I have dipped and qt it and found nothing on it. Only coral with hole, maybe I missed it when I visually checked it in qt. Saw it and it freaked me out lol what do you all think?

Abnormal and dipping was a good first step. May have been some type of worm that abandoned the flesh but hard to tell with blue spectrum. If possible, check again with flashlight at lights out and see if there is a culprit visible

I don't recall ever seeing a hole in a coral similar to this. I'm curious to find out how that came to be.

I've seen Vermetid snails do this very often. More than likely the coral grew around it and while the soft tissue is expanded the hole is hidden
Very possible and likely logic

Ya I did that last night and I didn’t see anything, I’ll keep checking though.
