I believe @happyhourhero has used this in his tank. I bought a pack, opened one tube, gave it a sniff, and decided I'd never use that in my tank. I suppose it's possible I got the wrong JB weld since there are several versions out there, but the one I got had a strong solvent odor to it.

JB waterweld is reef safe and will cure against plastic pretty well - Anything you can do with pvc cement out of the water will be better though.

If you have jb waterweld it's reef safe.

If JB WW isn't reef safe then my corals and fish never got the memo. I've lost count of just how many tubes I've bought over the years. I consider it to be one of the "must haves" in my emergency aquarium kit. That, and as many tubes of superglue gel I can get at the $1 store.

+1

Been using it for several years with 0 issues. It's the same 2 part epoxy most manufacturers sell as "coral epoxy", but for much less.
