I decided to set up a new tank. I haven't had one in about six years. I put together a new unit from 2 old units I had in storage, ordered new filters, fittings, and membrane. 4 stage: 5 micron filter, carbon block/1 micron filter, 75gpd membrane, DI resin.

Questions I have are: Should I have an air gap in my DI resin chamber? Could it be packed too tight? My final output water "skips/putters" if that makes sense, but putting out 0 ppm.
Pressure going into the membrane is about 50 psi. Does it need to be higher?
It looks close to a 1:4 output. Any suggestions to make that better?
