I have a small plug of zoas that has some Kenya tree attached - just a small piece, smaller than a marble when fully retracted and hard.

I am not a fan of Kenya tree and don't want it. So, I did my best to cut it away and discard. I used a scalpel and got as close to the plug/zoas as I could.

Will the tiny portions that remain grow back?
What can I do, if anything, to assure it won't?
Would I be better off waiting for the zoas to grow and then cut them away to be free of the Kenya?

Any remaining flesh will regrow. Even the smallest scrap will regrow a new tree. You can try to smother it in superglue gel or use a pair of cutters and clip that part off the plug.
