What do you think is going to happen?
---The growth of this idea that the world is NOT going to end soon has caused many problems for the people of Quan TAI and their children. False hope is dangerous. Fear is Wisdom. -First you must be aware that the End is not painful, or even discomforting. The majority of people are stuck in the idea that we need to reproduce, work, and absorb media in extreme volumes. Do we know how many people we should have on our planet??? An aquarium cannot be crowded and neither should our planet. This is going to be the end of the world as we know it. Some extremest is going to set off some type of EMP device that will knock out the worlds electrical components. Without electricity we will be living like Mad Max. Thunder Dome will be real. Mel Gibson will have a raft. We will not have Internet, phones, TV, or even calculators! We will not be flooded by Jersey Shore and its cousins. There will also be no Twinkies. This is an excerpt from the Quan TAI Legends, "...Grandmother gave me this, it was the last twinkie. it was the price of tuition and had a spider living on it. Than Juan Came over, the Quan TAI Sorcerer, he said if I eat this twinkie, we will see no more..." he then went on to talk about Gilmore Girls. Our only entertainment will be reinactments of movies like Biodome---

What are you going to do on the morning of December 22nd if it doesn't happen?
---I am legally not allowed to stay in the country if it does not end according to Iowa State Law Articles 1 and 2 of the very first page of Better Homes and Gardens. This is the outcome I don't prefer.

Unfortunately, the world is not going to end this month, at least not by some calendar saying it will. I believe in science, not religious systems.
Something I wrote a couple months ago. "The world is ending. You may be able to wake up each day, live, and breathe. But the world is ending. And not because some deity is smashing down his angry fist from heavens, but because we humans are killing it. Our pollution, over-eating of animals and either killing or over-using resources is what is killing the earth. The earth cannot withstand the pressure we are putting on it by making it sustain over ~7billion humans, along with quintillion* other creatures. One day the earth will snap. And it will be our fault. Don't blame a god, or a calendar, or the children. Blame yourself, because we are all are guilty of murdering the earth."

The Mayan calendar is based on Lunar, unlike our Solar. So I've done some research and digging around that argument is invalid.

I do NOT believe anything will happen, maybe some quacks killing themselves before "the end of the world".
In the calender the Maya wrote, Its a beginning of a new age/era. All it is would be the End of the "Great Cycle" Nothing more. Its just the largest cycle of time recorded and documented for them, why they wanted to do so? Who knows, but learning and studying space while there is nothing else to do in the Mexican jungle except for drink Mayan Tequila (I have some, very sweet) and run away from jaguars. I've been to Maya ruins though, kind of get a creepy feeling being around some of them. Lol

That extremist is called our sun and the EMP device is a solar flair. The outermost layers of our atmosphere are degrading enough that one big flair in our direction and lights out. It's ok tho, the cockroach Homosapien will crawl out of the rubble and live on. We have done it before...

I respect everyone and everyones beliefs and agree with one of the above statements made by squishie 89, the world will end. Wether or not it happens this year I do not know, No One Does, for the bible specifies that it will come like a thief in the night and while many may not agree or believe in the bible, it is the one thing that not even science has been able to disprove regardless of how hard it has tried.
The bible is real and there is documented proof that Jesus Christ existed, where he was born, where he lived, how he lived, that he was crucified and accounts by thousands of people even non believers that he was seen for days after his"death"which by scientific acknowledgment is specified that for one man to be able to live out all the prophecies that were spoken of in the old testament (which was written way before his birth) is scientifically impossible. You would have a better chance of being struck by lightning 1000 times a day each day of your life for 1000 years and still not reach the odds.
The truth of the matter is that folks would rather believe in other religions, karma or science than believe on Jesus Christ. Why, because once you accept the fact that Jesus came to pay for your sins, we have to admit that we are sinners, at that time we have put blame on ourselves and ask for forgiveness as well as repent for our sins and that is something that no one likes To do as everyone likes to live there lives feeling they are in control of their lives and they have the power to make things happen and that they are good people (but by who's standards)?
The truth is, WE are all sinners and we have all fallen short of the grace of God. The good news is that Jesus did comes to set us free and all we have to do is accept the gift of his son Jesus and invite him into our hearts and into our lives. John 3:16
For God so loved the world that Gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The world will end someday and the bible does state that we will live forever after we leave this earth. The only question is wether we will spend eternity in Heaven or Hell. It is not too late, if you have not yet done so, admit you are a sinner, repent for your sins and ask God to forgive you and invite him into your life.
I know that I will probably be rediculed for this and I don't care. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and as long as I live will be used as Gods instrument but before you snap at me understand that I do not do this out of judgement but rather out of Love and concern as I only want the best for anyone reading this and would not want anyone to be condemned to an eternity separated from God.
If anyone is interested in accepting Jesus and you are not sure how to go about it. Please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to guide you through it.

Nothing to be ridiculed about. Even science is only as good as the theories and measurements we currently apply to derive an answer. It's had it's share of epic fails through out our history.

A share of epic fails? It has also had it's share of epic triumphs. Science has helped explain, cure, prevent, and explain plenty of topics, its the reason your able to keep a reef right now. DON'T ever discount science. It's been a driving force since the dawn of time, and always will be.

A series of measurements we currently apply? Do you understand what a measuremeant means? A value derived from an instrument....how on earth is whatever we are talking about is derived by an instrument? The degree of precision is determined by whatever instrument your using meaning what .0000001 are you using there buddy? Stop. Don't try and bring scientific terms into and completely conceptual conversation. This is about ideas, not numbers :)
