Looking to see thoughts on how I am thinking about doing my APEX DOS Auto water change set up:

tank is 150 gallon with 125 gallon sump

DOS - Old water/waste water -run down from the sump (maybe down 2 feet) to the floor and along the baseboard/floor of the basement to the backroom/laundry room area where the drain is -- about 15 feet

DOS - New/Fresh saltwater - run up about feet and then horizontally to a 30 gallon brute trash can

thoughts?

if not I can only get maybe a 5 gallon salt bucket near where the tank is

I think that will work just fine, those can run pretty long distances

My DOS is in my laundry room, on the other side of a wall from my tank. It pulls new sea water from a tank in my garage about 20 ft away. No issues for me. I believe you should be fine.

I think there are specs somewhere about how far/high it can push/pull? I remember seeing something at one point.

Just read somewhere 24ft vertical but indefinite horizontally.

I think I am going to use dark ro/di tubing to help curb algae growth and it might help that it’s more rigid

How much are you changing at a time ? I’m thinking of doing 1-2% total tank volume each day
