I currently have my DOS to distribute 11ml per day over 24 hours.

is there a way to just add a interval to add 2ml at 6pm? This is when I see a large dip in alk.

I like that I can set it to automatically divide the total amount over 24 hours. Just want to add a little bit more at a specific time.

You don’t need code to do it. You just set certain time intervals and tell it how much to dose in the interval.
Here is a pic of my intervals

Also, I’m not sure what you’re dosing but if your only dosing 11ml a day I doubt adding 2ml at a specific time is going to make much of a difference, unless there is some kind of super concentrated solution that I am not aware of.

I’m losing .2 in alk between noon and 6pm. I’m not sure how much I need to add to get there but it’s more about learning how to create the interval.

I’m an idiot. I don’t see add interval in the drop down. I clicked on each

Hmmm I don’t know why yours doesn’t have it. I bet I know who would know though. @SuncrestReef any idea why his fusion doesn’t have the option to add interval to the dos?

You have to adjust the time on the 24-hour interval first, ie: change it to 00:00 to 17:59.
Yep that makes sense.

You can’t add a interval because your current one takes up the whole day.

ETA- Haha I tagged the expert when he wasn’t needed. I never even thought about that.

At one point in time I went down the rabbit hole of trying to dose so that my alkalinity was as consistent as possible, but quickly gave up. I would get to where my 4 trident readings were almost identical and then a few weeks later it would fluctuate so I’d adjust my intervals again. I eventually gave up and as long as it’s close then I don’t care.

You have to adjust the time on the 24-hour interval first, ie: change it to 00:00 to 17:59. You'll usually see more alkalinity usage during the day, so I dose more alkalinity when the lights are on vs. off.
thank you. I was hoping I didn’t have to do this but I guess I should do it right.

Here's my dosing schedule for alkalinity on a 200-gallon system.

Just curious is there a reason you skip every other hour. I have 4 40 minute intervals where I don’t dose but that is because I dose near my trident intake and didn’t want to skew my trident readings.

Yes, I dose alkalinity for 2-hours then calcium and magnesium for 2 hours - then alternate. That way I'm only dosing one at a time.

I’m trying not to chase numbers but do think I should at least dose more during the day vs night. I see a noticeable dip between my trident reading noon and 6pm.

I am a little bummed that my mag reading was perfect to my salifert on day one but now the trident says 1474 mag when my salifert still reads 1335. I turned off my dos initially thinking it was high but it wasn’t.

I figured there was a reason. I’m honestly surprised the apex doesn’t do a better job of not dosing at the same time on its own. I sometimes can see where mine were dosed seconds apart but I’ve never had too much of a precipitation issue so I never bothered changing it.

No I get it, I did the same thing and honestly went overboard with it. I still dose more during certain times.
The trident does good with the alkalinity tests IMO, but I’ve never been too impressed with its accuracy (compared to my other tests) for calcium and magnesium. I’ve gotten to where I basically ignore them.
