I know this has been posted somewhere but i for the life of me cannot find it so i thought id post for some help. So the DOS fittings where the tubes connect are pulling air or breaking the siphon. Which connectors can i get to get rid of these push crimp fittings and go with john guest. Is this a product i can grab at HD/Lowes? Also wanna use RO tubing instead of there tubing.

I just pushed the RO/DI line into the original fittings, then screwed up the crimp fitting. Been that way for 2 years with 0 issues.

Did this before I saw a post about the john guest fittings. It has never leaked or sucked air, so I never changed them.

Man ive readjusted it multiple times and it still pulls air. Even cut to get a fresh end and still the same issue. I hand tighten of course but maybe i should take some pliers and give it a snug fit

I only hand tightened them. Maybe I got lucky? No idea to be honest as I always see posts about people doing the same way and they leak air.

Come to think of it, I did heat up the RO/DI a little bit with a lighter so I could push them on further.

Found the ones I ordered from Amazon. I had 2 DOS, used 8 of them, and left them on when I sold them. I have 2 left of the 10 pack, you're welcome to have them if you'd like.

Amazon product

So with those all i would need is a 1/8 male NPT to 1/4 push fitting?

They thread onto the grey fittings of the DOS head tubing and 1/4 tubing connects to it, no additional fittings needed :)

Some recommend cutting the tip off the DOS grey tubing.

I only have 2 fittings left, so it'd be just one of the DOS heads. PM me your address if you still want them.

So by the looks of it, you would remove gray cap and install these on existing threads. Did you teflon the thread to prevent leaking or just hand tighten and was good to go?

I dipped the RO tubing in really hot water to soften it up then placed on the fitting end and tightened, had much better luck with that. I have replaced all connectors to the John Guest now.

Did you have to order fittings as well or were you able to find them locally?
