I'm dosing phosphates into my frag tank every day. No fish in the tank so the phosphate keeps dropping too low. I want to use a dosing pump to make this automated.

Will this work? Right now, I premix trisodium phosphate into a 300ml bottle. I can see a lot of it sits on the bottom and I have to shake vigorously before I dose manually.

With the dosing pump, I assume this wont work because some of the stuff settles and seperates?

Sure, it will work fine. Sodium phosphate dissolves and will never settle out.

You might also dose ammonium bicarbonate that way. I do that in my normal tank.
