I had my two Clownfish Bob and Krusty for 4 years. Last night, they unfortuately managed to jump out of the tank through a tiny gap in my lid. This is odd because they have never attempted to jump out. I introduced 2 emeerald crabs and a peppermint shrimp yesterday but I cannot imagine they were the cause. What is even more odd is that both of them did it. They were a pair and both oddly enough jumped out in the same place and both passed away.

This is truly heartbreaking for me as they have been with me through so many years and my entire reef-keeping journey. I've had them through many of the highs and lows of my life thus far and I can't help but wonder if I could have done something.

That's one of the worst things to deal with. Odd that they jumped together. I would just assume they got spooked by something and got unlucky jumps.

Yea that's what confuses me. There were times I forgot to put the lid back on my tank, and they never jumped. It makes no sense to me that they both got spooked by something and both decided to jump at the same time after 4 years of being in the tank together. Who knows? Maybe it was a Romeo and Juliet situation haha!
