Dracula goby

Dracula goby is my favorite fish. Have tried many spent a fortune on this fish. It seems to be a difficult fish to keep in a big tank with other fish. Last one I had was paired with a pistol shrimp and was doing great for a good year and a half until the other night must have gotten spooked and found it dead in a power head. I would like to hear from reefers who have kept this fish and what is their experience to see if there is any tricks to it
