Hello members I was wondering if there is anyone with success to my question. Can I add a mandarin to my 29biocube which already has a red scooter blenny in it? I have been told they will not coexist together and one will kill the other is there anyone here with experience in the matter at hand ? Thanks Jae

the answer is most definitely not...a 29g isnt even big enough to sustain one dragonet's food source, much less two.

There is a guy on my local forum that has a few different mandarins and blennys but his tank was also much larger so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. A concern that I would have is whether there would be enough pods for a mandarin in a 29gal. I've heard people say no but no personal experience.

I have both in a 125 gallon, enough pods to keep them fat & happy. There was some interesting displaying by the Scooter when the mandarin was introduced.

I'd say a 29g is way too small to support two pod eating fish. If they don't eat frozen they will probably starve. Or you'll have to continually buy pods to add in weekly.
