Hello,
I want to find a female for my dragonnet. It seems there is a lot of subspecies... Synchiropus marmoratus, sycorax, stellatus... Does anyone can help? Alternatively, do you know a good website for fish ID?

That appears to be a male Ruby Red Dragonette...I forget the scientific name...you can tell it's a male because of how prominent the fin is.

It's not a Ruby Red, they are much more "redder". I have 3 of them.

I think it's just a regular male red dragonette. Which I also have a couple.

It ressemble a lot the regular one. Do you know the scientific name of yours? Can you mix different species of scooter dragonet. I heard they would fight.

Looks like it could be a male S. stellatus or S. moyeri

Yes you can. I have a pair of ruby reds, a pair or three regular red dragonettes and a pair of mandarins.

They all ignore each other but the pairs spawn.

I don't know the scientific names, I'm lucky I know my own name.
