I am starting a build for a 125 gallon reef tank gonna upgrade from my 65 gallon. but my question Is do I go with 1 drain line or 2 with 2 return lines?

You most definitely want at least two drain lines so you can run a full siphon drain. Trust me you’ll thank yourself later!
