Drilling overflow

Went to drill over flow and realized it is to low. Just marked the glass, can I still raise it if need be? Or is the tank ruined?

I am no expert but I would drill it again but not near where you started the first holes (so move left or right). Then test the tank for a week or two full of water, but not anywhere you wouldn't want a leak/explosion (outside, in the garage, something like that) - and see whether you can trust it or not.
The only thing you risk that way is time. If the tank breaks, at least it didn't flood your house.
